Hey Aysiu...I'm the clumsiest and most uncoordinated person alive, and sometimes have to use knives in the kitchen sometimes. For my birthday this year, my Dad bought me glove thingys that look like chain mail armor sort of, I put them on before I have to cut something, and I don't cut myself anymore lol.

First of thanks for the comment you left at my blog. Secondly, that sounds like me. Although I have learned my lesson when it comes to sharp objects. While it might mean I have to wait until my husband gets home from work I try to avoid doing certain things, like cutting open difficult fruits and also he has to wash the more delicate glassware we own. After having broken three wine glasses, mind you while sober, and cutting myself numerous times, I figured it is best to have him do it.

Last semester, I had a very similar accident, only I was trying to pop open a traffic light, with a knife I thought too dull to hurt me (don't ask, long story). The kitchen looked like a murder scene, and I still am getting sensation back in one of my fingertips. But hey - at least I can type fine.

Thanks for the perspective.

Yes, it could have been much, much worse, and I'm thankful that Neosporin and a bandage can take care of my wound.

And I have lived and learned. I learned the unripe avocado always wins.

I do not call that stupid. I call it human. As humans, we test ourselves and our environment. We test the limits of the possibilities. In your case, it was a test of your SKILLZ with teh KNIFE against the STUBBORN AVOCADO.

You live you learn.

Hey, it could have been worse. My brother has a similar story involving a machette and seven of the eight tendons in his right hand. (He's all better now, though.)
