This movie drags a bit. The acting is good, but the plot trods along at a miserably slow pace. Ultimately, the plot is unfulfilling, with no real sense of resolution. The premise is intriguing: two strangers have sex every week at the same time. One day, the man gets curious about the woman's personal life. That's about as far as the intrigue goes. What the movie does have going for it is a lot of explicit sex that is very
unsexy. There is no sensuality here. It is all just clumsy fucking. There is the real-time awkwardness of the stripping off of clothes. There is the fumbling around for genital parts. There is no cheesy background music, soft lighting, or clips to the most thrilling moments of intercourse. There is, however, a quite controversial moment in which we see the woman unmistakably sucking the man's penis. It is a brief moment, but we rarely see such a thing in an independent, artsy film.
