This thriller has a few strikes against it: it's unoriginal, it's predictable, and its characters are uni-dimensional. That said, it has a few things going for it as well. Kevin Spacey, Kevin Kline, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, and Forrest Whitaker remain excellent actors, even in this trite movie. If you can suspend a little disbelief and put up with how predictable the plot "twists" are, Consenting Adults is highly watchable.
