Very few people have heard of this movie, but it's a frequent visitor to the HBO circuit, so I happened to catch it every now and then. I have to say it's one of the best teen movies in recent years. It's refreshingly intelligent, while remaining appropriately cheesy, predictable, and sometimes silly. The idea is that a male college student is somehow trapped in an elevator with a mysterious woman (during a blackout, of course), and they end up having incredible sex. Afterwards, he spends all his time trying to figure out who this mysterious woman is. Some of the preachiness of liberal (not radical left, not conservative right) political theory ("Why do we have to be feminists, masculinists, racists? Can't we all be humanists?") gets to be a little much, but the movie is just plain fun, when it comes down to it. Watch it! You'll be pleasantly surprised.
